Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor-Joy was born on April 16 1996, in Miami Florida. A half English and half Spanish her parents are Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker and Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. Her father was an Argentine and has Scottish and English roots. The mother of Taylor-Joy is Spanish and has English roots. She was the first born of a clan of six children. Four of them are siblings from the previous marriage to Taylor's father. The family was initially of Buenos Aires, but moved to Victoria as Taylor-Joy reached the age of six. Taylor Joy claims that her move to England was extremely stressful. Taylor Joy was unable to master English and believed she would be able to return to Argentina. She had to switch schools between Northlands in order to attend Hill House. In the following year, she joined Queen's Gate School to study ballet as well as perform in school productions. In her 16th year she left college and began pursuing a career acting full-time. Taylor-Joy's ambition to become an actor started in the early years of her life. Sarah Doukas of Storm Management was the first person who hired her as an experienced model.
