Mena Alexandra (born on 13 February 1979) is a model and actress hailing from the US. Shortly after beginning her career as a model, she transitioned into acting after appearing in guest roles on 1990's TV shows like Boy Meets World and High Incident. In 1997 the year she first made an appearance acting in a movie with Nowhere. Then, in American Beauty and American Pie her name was recognized due to her character. After that, she starred as a co-star in Loser (2000) along with her American Pie co-star Jason Biggs and was later the main character in the comedy film Sugar & Spice (2001). Spun was a 2002 independent drama, and Trauma (2004) thriller were the two films that featured in her career. In 2004, she appeared in HBO's series Six Feet Under. She was nominated for the Screen Actors ' Guild Award 2005 for her role in the Outstanding Ensemble. In 2008, Suvari was seen in various films such as Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh as well as the adaptation film of The Garden of Eden. Suvari is featured in a variety of blog and fashion publications and blogs, such as Vogue. She is also a Lancome model who appears in advertising in the print edition of Lancome Paris Adaptive. She is a long-time supporter as well as an activist of the respected African relief organization the African Medical and Research Foundation. She also is involved on issues of empowerment for women as well as charities with a focus on breast cancer, and the End Violence Against Women campaign. The most prominent roles she has played comprise Dark Angel Heroes, The Chris Isaak Show Black Sash Reaper and Rookie Blue.
