Andrea Jeremiah
Andrea Maria Jeremiah, an Indian actor and singer well-known for her performance in Tamil and Malayalam films. Annayum, Rasoolum marked her Malayalam as well as Tamil debut. She debuted in Tamil in the film with Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea Jeremiah has an Anglo-Indian background. Her parents were an Madras High Court attorney. She has a younger sister who is a resident of Leuven Belgium, as a Research Assistant. Jeremiah hails born in Chennai. She went to National Public School, and then graduated Women's Christian College. Andrea was an eight year old classical pianist, who was an avid geek. She sang in The Jackson Five style troupe Young Stars aged 10. This group formed the foundation for her music and singing career. Additionally, she worked as an actress in her college. Then she was an EVAM Student Senate President at Women's Christian College. Andrea started her stage career by appearing in Girish Karanad's Nagamandala. She starred with Shiva in a Leo commercial for a coffee. Also, she was a part of an episode that was retransmitted on Podhigai channel. Her performances have been all over India. The brief appearance was in Kanda Mudhal's final scene (2005). Gautham V. Menon invited her after she performed a number in the Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu film to be featured as a lead character on Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea plays Kalyani in this film, which is an adaptation of James Siegel's novel Derailed. The husband of the character is involved in an affair and is blackmailed by her husband. Andrea was chosen for the part following the actresses Simran Shabana as well as Tabu were invited to audition for the film. The movie was announced in the early part of 2010. She agreed in 2011 to take on a small part in the multi-starrer film of Venkatprabhu Mankatha that was released in August 2011, Annayum Rasoolum which is a romance film by Rajeev ravi that was released in 2013, was her Malayalam debut.
